Frustrated? Try These 5 Tips to Turn Your Love Life Around!

I had SUCH an awesome week last week!  Two of my clients got married…and I got to go to one of the weddings!  My matchmaking client Paul tied the knot at a beautiful church in DC and then celebrated with 35 close friends and family (and my hubby and me) at a fabulous winery in the idyllic Virginia countryside! It was SUCH a great day!

(We LOVE weddings!)

But I remember a time not that long ago when Paul was pretty frustrated with dating. That’s why he sought out my help.

The advice I give my clients is surprisingly simple. Changing your mindset about dating can help you attract your soulmate.

Has dating got you down?

If you’re feeling frustrated, I totally get how you feel. It’s hard to stay positive when it takes a while (or even a looong while) to meet the right person.

But here’s the thing: the more you worry and stress about dating, the less likely you are to attract your soulmate.

That’s why the key to finding love is to have FUN and just enjoy the ride!

So if you’re down in the dumps about dating, here are five things you can do right now to give a boost to your love life, and bring more happiness and positivity into your life.

1. Decide to have fun!

Don’t walk into every date wondering if he or she’s “the one”.  Decide to be in the moment and enjoy learning about this fascination person you’re spending time with. Find his or her “gooey center”! Make a new friend! And if he or she has partner potential, that’s great!

2. Have a freaking sense of humor!

Sometimes I take myself way too seriously, and I bet you do to.  Finding the humor in your experiences is a great way to make life (and dating) a lot more fun. Situations and people are hysterical sometimes! Just laugh it off!

3. Have faith.

Do you believe everything happens for a reason and the Universe has your best interests at heart?  I sure do.

When I was single, I knew that no matter how sad or frustrated I was, meeting “the one” was inevitable. I believed!  I used to say this prayer every night at bedtime:

Thank you in advance for the wonderful man you’re going to send my way when the time is right (and please make it soon – I’m so ready)!  It worked!

Prayers and affirmations create positive energy, and I believe in the power of attraction. Knowing that love is inevitable (even if you have to be patient) is so powerful.

4. Say “Thank you”.

It’s so easy to focus on what’s missing in your life or to compare yourself to others.

When your mind starts to go south, stop those negative thoughts and say “thank you”. Appreciate the blessings in your life – the big things and the little things. There are people all over the world who would give anything to be in your shoes.

Your life is full of blessings.  Stay focused on those, and you’ll feel happier. And when you’re happy, you’ll be an awesome people magnet! ☺

5. Do stuff!

Stop working so much and grab life by the you-know-whats!

Make plans, do fun things and spend time with people you enjoy! Make a bucket list, and get going! Want to travel? Grab a friend or go on a singles trip! Try a Meetup group (everyone goes alone – so don’t worry!). Take a class, go to a lecture, go dancing, take a hike, have dinner with friends, just HAVE FUN! People who have fun are super attractive!

Most of all stay positive because beautiful things are ahead for you. And don’t forget to smell the coffee and to enjoy this crazy amazing journey!

xo,

Michelle
